It had to happen this year, and I guess it’s inevitable I spotted this in my second week as department chair. Earlier this week I was forwarded a spreadsheet with a number of sections in the college (including in my department) where the classes database did not list classrooms or days of instruction. And then there was this:
No End Time assigned for this section
I don’t know about you, but that’s a little scary.
Oh, yes, and if your campus uses Blackboard, there’s this incredibly humiliating button students have to click every time they turn in an assignment through Blackboard:
Submit
Every time I see that button, I read it as
Kneel
I’m uncomfortable with asking students to do that.
