A nightmare from the early 20th century?  No.  Today&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2005\/12\/08\/AR2005120802122.html?nav=rss_education\">Kansas City-area schools<\/a>.  Fortunately, the superintendent of the district rescinded the punishment, but civil-rights advocates are still fuming, and rightly so.
