We believe in teachers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He said this in front of the official quadrennial convention of one of the most powerful private associations in the United States, the Republican Party. Maybe he wished I&#8217;d quip similarly about my oldest sister, a Republican office-holder in California, &#8220;I love my sister, but I hate her party.&#8221; Yeah, right. You live in the United States, buddy?
