Mr. <del>Kotter<\/del> Rotherham!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In responding to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shermandorn.com\/mt\/archives\/000640.html\">my earlier discussion<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edspresso.com\/2006\/08\/august_2125_david_ritchey_vs_k.htm\">teacher certification debates<\/a>, Eduwonk Andy Rotherham <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eduwonk.com\/archives\/2006_08_20_archive.html#115651431696487016\">writes<\/a>, &#8220;What other $450 billion dollar industry can&#8217;t give you a decent denominator on productivity?&#8221; I presume he meant &#8220;indicator&#8221; or &#8220;measure.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, my.\u00a0 What a question.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll just give one answer (though it&#8217;s not as large an industry): management consulting.
