Just saying that I wouldn't be surprised if an iPad "correction" is the spark for a diplomatic incident some day. Or at least it would make for a great backstory an author never quite explains, like the Helvetic War David Brin never quite explains in Earth. "I was one of the hostages in the Bezerkistan iPad crisis of '12" would be a great line to toss into a scene.
