I’m at the Tampa airport waiting for my flight to Chicago. This semester I am traveling to a single conference, for the History of Education Society. It’s my last year as the HES book exhibit coordinator, and I’m presenting material on comparative attainment data. Because I was traveling last weekend as well (to visit my daughter, not for a conference), this is a very short week in terms of presence on campus, and for most of yesterday, I was without email. Just what I needed… but it was fixed and I received some delayed emails early this morning (around 1:30).
In the midst of all my travel, several staff members in my department really stepped up to the plate on some important matters, all very much appreciated. And now, off to read in a sardine can for a few hours…
