President X may need to leave for the college-community relationship to be what her or his lip service has claimed is the ideal… because the reality of that has to exist on campus, not just in the head of President X.

This statement applies as well to “Chancellor X” for the head of a campus inside a larger system.
According to the article, this is BOG’s dream, and Judy is dancing to their tune. The article may be misleading (?).
They could always hire Ken Walker. He has plenty of experience getting new programs accredited. Or maybe Steve Atkins; I can’t recall if he was hired or fired from Edison State College.
